Swim4: swimming lessons for all abilities

Swim4 offers group and 121 swimming lessons for adults and children aged from 3 years upwards in South East Cornwall.

We are currently offering lessons at a pool in Gunnislake (Monday to Saturday). We are not currently able to offer any lessons in the Looe area.

Our swimming classes have a maximum of six pupils, and teachers are in the water with nervous pupils and beginners, so all pupils receive a high level of individual attention and personalised tuition.

Why learn to swim with Swim4?

Small classes

We limit the number of children to 4-6 in our group classes. This helps children gain confidence more quickly and enables our teachers to adapt the instruction and aids within lessons to meet each pupil’s individual needs.

Ability matching

We group our classes by age and ability, this helps children feel confident in their class and move forward together. To ensure we have a good match, we will invite you for a FREE trial lesson, once a space is available.

Private pools

Swim4 only uses private pools which are hired for the purpose of swimming lessons. Parents are welcome to watch from poolside to see children progress.

CHILDRENS SWIMMING LESSONS

What you need to know…

Group lessons have a maximum of four-six pupils (numbers increase to six as students progress in ability)
Swimming teachers are often in the water with nervous pupils and beginners to help their confidence
Parents can watch from the poolside in the private pools we hire
We work to the national governing body programmes from Swim England and the Swimming Teachers Association (STA)
Our teachers are qualified with either the STA or Swim England, and we are fully insured
121 and 221 swimming lessons are available – subject to availability
We run term time only in half term blocks of around 5-8 weeks a block – there are no regular lessons during school holidays
Our lessons are payable termly in advance, no refunds are available for holidays or sickness

Lesson times vary. 121 and small group lessons available.

Please note: we are currently running a waiting list for almost all classes. It is difficult to give an indication of how long it will be before you can gain a space in lessons, and as we group by age and ability, spaces in classes will be available at different times, meaning the list is ‘first come, first served’ within different age and ability bandings.

Honicombe Manor, Gunnislake is a short drive from Callington. Pupils travel from Liskeard, Launceston, Callington, Tavistock, and Plymouth areas.
